International Women’s Day - #IWD2026 #GiveToGain

International Women’s Day 2026
Held annually on 8 March, is a worldwide opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements and recognise the continuing journey toward equality.
While the day often highlights inspiring success stories, it also invites reflection on the everyday realities many women navigate — work pressures, family responsibilities, social expectations and personal wellbeing.
The 2026 theme “Give to Gain” encourages people to actively support and uplift women, recognising that positive change often comes through collaboration and generosity within communities.
In therapeutic settings, acknowledging these experiences can be important. Counselling provides a space where individuals can explore identity, relationships, confidence and life transitions without judgement.
International Women’s Day can therefore be both a celebration and a reminder that listening, respect and understanding remain central to wellbeing for everyone.

International Women's Day is powered by the collective efforts of all
Collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity is what makes International Women's Day impactful. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist reportedly once explained "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights." So make International Women's Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women.
