How I work with clients
Hi I’m Louise Riedl and I am a fully qualified BACP registered counsellor. I work with over 18s offering in-person sessions in our rooms at Kings Hill near West Malling, Kent or online from the comfort of your home from anywhere in the UK. I offer both short-term focused therapy and longer-term in-depth support.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming - whether you’re living with anxiety, low self-confidence, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, or facing relationship, work, or major life changes. I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to talk openly, explore what’s going on, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I work with a wide range of issues including:
-
Anxiety and stress
-
Depression and low mood
-
Low self-esteem and confidence
-
Relationship and family concerns
-
Workplace stress and burnout
-
Life transitions and personal growth
My Approach to Counselling
My approach is warm, grounded, and empathetic - professional but never clinical - so you can feel at ease being yourself. I listen without judgement and adapt each session to your needs, blending different counselling methods to suit your personality and situation.
Alongside my general counselling work, I have specialist training and extensive experience in bereavement and loss through my work with a leading UK bereavement charity and a local hospice. I understand that grief is deeply personal and can affect every part of life. I offer gentle, compassionate support to help you navigate your own path through loss.
Before becoming a counsellor, I gained significant experience in recruitment, giving me first-hand insight into a wide range of working environments, career transitions, and the pressures people face in the workplace. I understand the dynamics of workplace culture, from high-pressure corporate settings to caring professions, and how these can affect confidence, identity, and mental health. This background allows me to support clients facing career uncertainty, workplace conflict, burnout, or major life transitions with both empathy and practical understanding. Sometimes dissatisfaction at work isn’t just about the role itself - it can be linked to deeper personal challenges or long-standing thought patterns. Counselling provides a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore these underlying issues and discover new ways to restore balance, purpose, and wellbeing.
Every story is unique, so whatever yours is I am confident we can work together at your pace to help you feel more grounded, understood, and able to move forward.
I charge between £50-£60 per session for a 50 minute session.
